VIETNAM DISCOVERY
12 day / 11 night private tour, tour starts in Saigon, ends in Hanoi.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Saigon Arrival (D)
Upon arrival in Saigon, you will be picked up from airport to a hotel in
Saigon for relax, overnight at proposed hotel after welcomed dinner.
Day 2: Saigon City tour (B/L)
8:00AM, Our tour guide and driver will come and pick you up for Saigon
tour, a combination of a city tour including China Town, Thien Hau
Pagoda, War Museum, Independence Palace… and a unique dinner experience
which is a perfect way to soak up the activity of the Saigon River.
Enter the replica of the emperors’ dragon boat “Bonsai I” for a
magnificent and memorable dining and entertainment spectacle along the
Saigon River. The captain will welcome you onboard and introduce you to
the specialties which have made this boat a culinary experience in Ho
Chi Minh City. Bonsai River Cruise for a relaxing outdoor experience
apart from bustling Saigon City — chill out and get surprised.
Day 3: Saigon -Mekong Delta (B/L)
8: 00 pick up at hotel. Transfer to My Tho. Take the motorized boat
through the Bao Dinh natural canal; view the stilhouse and the fruit
plantation along the canal sides. Visit the My Tho wholesale fruit
market. Proceed to the Tortoise Island. Lunch served in the heart of the
orchard. Enjoy the nice boat ride through the Tan Tach natural canal in
Ben Tre, cruise under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit the
family business where you can experience the agricultural lifestyle.
Trekking through the fruit plantation on Thoi Son Island, enjoy the
rowing boat ride on the creeks before returning to My Tho by rowing
boat. Proceed to Can Tho. Check in on arrival.
Day 4: Mekong delta – Saigon (B/L)
8: 00 after breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit the Phong
Dien floating market with the busy sense right at the time. Keep
cruising through the small channels system, visit the rice noodles
making village. Experience the “monkey Bridge “in the Delta. Visit the
second floating market of Cai Rang. Lunch break. Return to Ho Chi Minh
City. Stop for visit and rest at the Bonsai garden in My Tho. Drive back
to Saigon for overnight.
Day 5: Saigon – Nha Trang (B)
AM: after breakfast, you are transferred to airport for flight to Nha
Trang departs at 10: 15, upon arrival you are picked up and check-in at
the hotel.
PM: City tour Nha Trang including Po Nagar Cham Tower, and Long Son
Pagoda. Have dinner on your own and over night in the hotel.
Day 6: Nha Trang – Hoian (B/L)
AM: Boat trip to visit Tam and Mun islands….
Take flight to Da Nang depart at 12: 05, upon arrival you will continue
to Hoi An, on the way Cham Museum and Marble Mountain. Check-in hotel in
Hoian. Have dinner on your own account, over-night in Hoian.
Day 7: Hoi An – Hue (B/L)
From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An was a thriving international
commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and
Arab traders. These people came primarily to trade in the high grade
silk, which is still produced in the area, as well as ceramics. Today,
Hoi An is a quaint riverside town, popular with tourists for its
eclectic architecture, tailors shops, and numerous cafes. Some of the
buildings in the narrow streets have remained unchanged for more than a
century.
AM: You enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets
of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls,
the 200 - year old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge.
After lunch you take a short boat trip to a nearby island to visit a
handicraft village specializing in ceramics, and also the boat building
yards. Hoi An is now one of UNESCO's fifth World Heritage designated
sites in Vietnam.
PM: Drive to Hue, on the way visit Lang Co Beach, Hai Van Pass. Over
-night in the hotel in Hue. Day 8: Hue (B/L)
AM: Visit Royal Citadel which was constructed by Emperor Gia Long in the
style of French military architect Vauban during the first decades of
the 19th century. Before leaving the site of Imperial city we visit the
Imperial Museum, many precious objects which were salvaged from the
Imperial city then we visit Khai Dinh Tomb, have lunch
PM: A boat trip along the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, Minh
Mang Tomb, visit Dong Ba Market Day 9: Hue – Hanoi: Hanoi City Tour
(B/L) Take the morning flight to Hanoi at 8:30, upon arrival, Driver and
Guide will come to your hotel and pick up for Hanoi city tour. The
colonial capital city Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined
boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental
pagodas and temples dating back thousand years ago. This day tour takes
you around Hanoi's most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh
Complex: Mausoleum, stilt house, presidential palace; Old Quarter also
known as the 36 streets and guilds, lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc
Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake with lovers
street Thanh Nien, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple and
History Museum. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show or gay
night-out after the sunset. Have dinner on your own.
Day 10: Hanoi – Halong (B/L/D)
After breakfast at your hotel, 8:30 am: our guide & private car/van pick
you up to depart from the capital for Ha Long Bay approximately three
hours away. Upon arrival, embark a boat for a cruise majestic Halong
bay. Enjoy beautiful landscape of Halong Bay, naturally formed by
islands and islets, explore natural caves or sunbathing. Enjoy lunch on
board. En route we have a short stop at the Sao Dao center run for and
by handicapped children for short break. Upon arrival at Ha Long Bay we
will be met by captain and cruise and transferred to main Junk .Welcome
on board of the Hanoi Opera Cruise and set sail through bay while lunch
is served. Passage into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted
limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth. Opportunity
to visit beautiful limestone grotto, go swimming or sunbathing. Enjoy
cocktails while watching sunset and later unwind at restaurant. If
weather permits, a short night cruise could bring you a nice discovery
of the sea life by night. Overnight on Hanoi Opera Cruise.
Day 11: Halong – Hanoi (Brunch)
Beauty of the bay we have time for a morning Tai Chi exercise with an
opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, a short
trek to a nearby summit.
06.30: Sunrise Tai chi on sundeck. Coffee or tea is served.
08.00: Visit splendid SUNG SOT grotto with a quick glimpse at the nearby
fishing village.
09.00: Buffet breakfast while cruising back through Ha Long Bay to the
pier.
10.00: Luggage pulls out. Clear all bills.
11.00: Arrive at the pier. It’s time to say Good-bye Halong. Pick-up and
transfer to Hanoi.
3.30 P.M, you will be back to Hanoi. Have dinner on your own account,
over night in Hanoi.
Day 12: Hanoi – Departure. (B)
Have breakfast in your hotel. Free at leisure till being picked-up and
transferred to airport for departure flight. End of services.
